HASS

Year 7 – 10 Humanities and Social Science courses aligns with the Western Australian curriculum with deliberate links established to the GT Online English programs.

Students explore the interconnectedness of the world around them by investigating how individuals both influence and, are influenced by, the social, environmental, economic and political systems around them. Students study a module of history, geography, civics and citizenship and economics each year and are exposed to real-world, authentic assessments with an opportunity to explore a range of modes of presentations.

Students cover essential learning at a faster pace and therefore can study the HASS course in greater depth, use critical thinking skills and participate in a range of relevant competitions.

Many GT Online Students have been successful in the Premier’s Anzac Student Tour, National History Challenge and Simpson Prize competitions over the last 10 years.
